The Friess-Koenig line

Alan's mother was Margaretha (Grete) Agatha FRIESS (*23.Nov. 1908 in Freiburg/Baden), daughter of Albert Wilhelm FRIESS (*4. March 1880 Tegernau/Baden) and his wife Wilhelmine (Mina) KÖNIG (*about 1885). Up to now we ignored her descent. But further data may be derived from the correspondance concerning the estate of a certain Emil KÖNIG who emigrated to San Francisco in 1909. As since 1923 no sign of him being alife could be noticed by his German family, they had him declared dead in 1935, precondition for distributing his estate - 2500 Reichsmark - left on a bank in Germany.

A) Notariat I Rastatt als Nachlassgericht, Rastatt, den 1. April 1936, Nachlass des Blechners Emil König Iffezheim. This letter includes all family involved.

B) Amtsgericht Rastatt, den 23. September 1938. Includes exact birthdays of the four children of Albert's, amidst them Margret FRIESS, born Novembre 23, 1908.

C) Notariat I Rastatt, den 27.12.1938. Here we find the conclusion:
"Gesetzliche Erben sind die v o l l b ü r t i g e n Geschwister Sofi, Rudolf und Ida zu je 1/4, die h a l b b ü r t i g e n Geschwister Josef und Thekla zu je 1/12 und die Abkömmlinge der halbbürtigen Schwester Wilhelmine, d.s. die Geschwister Frieß zu je 1/48."
