Emil Teuthorn - at that time 17 years old - described his occupation for the year 1897 in NY as "combined errand boy (Laufbursche) but with horse and cart". So his equipment was more modest than the above one. Probably "one-horse-power".

Emil Teuthorn - damals 17 Jahre alt, gerade von Chicago nach New York übergesiedelt und kurz vor der Weiterreise nach Deutsch-Südwest-Afrika - beschreibt für das Jahr 1897 seine Tätigkeit als "combinierter Laufbursche, aber mit Pferd und Wagen, ...". Sein Arbeitsgerät war also wohl etwas bescheidener als im obigen Photo; möglicherweise one horse-power.
